Why you're here

As a content marketer, you will be responsible for creating inspiring content. We are looking for a talented, creative, self-motivated Content Marketing Manager to join disguise’s growing marketing team. This position will develop the thought leadership and content marketing strategy for disguise. The content should aim to enhance our global brand, position us as leading experts and support our demand generation activities. In this role you will play a leading part in executing our content marketing strategy in order to raise awareness of the disguise brand, demystify technology through carefully crafted content, attract and acquire new clients and retain existing clients. You will be the type of content marketer who is focused on creating easy to read yet captivating content whilst demonstrating its impact on the sales funnel and ultimately revenue.

You will work closely with other departments (user success, sales, operations, product & account management) to utilise their knowledge to create content, as well as devise ways to create content that solves our clients problems.

You will love writing, interviewing, editing and producing simple to understand content that is anchored in customer insights. You rely on metrics to measure the performance of what you produce. Experience in writing a content calendar is a bonus.


Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Own Content Development: You will own researching and writing disguises’ content. This may at times entail working with internal teams to utilise their expertise, drafting content and managing the production. You will insist on producing the highest quality content and thus a heavy focus on research, editing and an eye for great design will be critical to your success. You will produce a variety of content types (long form content, emails, bloga, direct response copy, infographics, white papers, website page copy, press releases, customer interviews etc.) for multiple customer segments and different stages of the buyer journey.
  • Content Creation and Success Measurement: You will partner with the campaign team to identify the best format for content and identify the channels that will be used to promote each piece you create. You will leverage key engagement metrics to measure performance and to inform your content and optimize future. 
  • Planning Editorial Calendar: You will plan ahead and manage your own time to make sure you meet deadlines and create a clear content pipeline.
  • Sector Research: Developing an in-depth knowledge of each vertical sector to identify the key global issues and opportunities that our expertise can solve for our clients including how this may differ across our key markets.
  • Thought Leadership: You will partner internally with our experts to create thought leadership that focuses on key industry topics and elevates our in-house expertise. Every piece of thought leadership content should be in proportion to depth and complexity of the content. 
  • Campaigns: Work closely with the campaign team who will be responsible for utilising your content to generate leads for the business.

You will also be highly numeric, focused on delivering on KPI’s and ensuring that all content is tested, measured and reported on.


Key KPIs

  • Content & Website Content Management this includes content creation for the website & blog posts
  • Identifying new and innovative ways to drive traffic to websites through content 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise user experience and externally with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Producing relevant and up to date content on industry and organisation specific matters
  • Managing internal and external resources to produce marketing content e.g. news articles, tweets, client views
  • Create and maintain an archive of all marketing content
  • Collaborate with support / product / sales / development to identify new marketing opportunities and content, continually improving our digital marketing activity




  • Excellent understanding of the content marketing landscape, ideally from a subscription or B2B information background.
  • Ideally 4+ years proven experience in content marketing roles of experience required including:
    • All phases of content management and creation including strategy, writing, designing and promotion
    • Experience executing and supporting innovative digital strategy, utilising content marketing as a critical route to acquisition and conversion
    • Track record of building and delivering high-impact content strategies that deliver on growth targets
    • Expert at project management and prioritisation; able to manage multiple projects at varying stages
    • Understanding and interpretation of online metrics and analytics - must be highly analytical
    • Knowledge of Pardot or similar marketing automation platforms
  • Understanding of hardware and software technology products.
  • Wonderful copywriting skills; ability to write convincing copy that pushes people to take action
  • Built multiple content strategies.
  • Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and engaging way to different audiences.
  • Research skills: A crucial part of this role will be gaining insight into customer needs and experiences. Analysis of data, surveys and customer interviews will be part of this mix and you need to be well acquainted with these techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build easy relationships with different teams to capture ideas and extract relevant and timely information. As a Content Marketing Manager you will have to collaborate with multiple teams across the business. This will often include the sales and marketing department, the engineering department, product management, press and PR and senior executives.
  • Strong project management skills, including an ability to move projects forward in a complex environment. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team – someone who is collaborative, flexible, reliable, with a strong ‘can do attitude’.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). The ability to speak and write to a high standard is crucial. You will frequently have to write engaging copy.



  • Experience working in another fast-growing start-up preferred
  • Experience within Virtual Production, Broadcast, Film, Live Events, Concert Touring
  • Data-driven with an analytical mind-set
  • An excellent level of written and verbal English
  • Strong project management ability
  • Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail
  • Experience in key technologies: Salesforce, Pardot, Content Management Systems, Google Analytics, website technologies
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS metrics, funnel optimisation and demand generation via inbound
  • Keen understanding of email marketing, including nurture, e-newsletters, acquisition campaigns and email automation
  • Makes data driven decisions around content
  • Analyses/mines things like, Google Analytics and BuzzSumo to inform strategy
  • Knows what good content looks like and how it impacts the business
