2012 Silver MUSE Award for High Arctic

2012 Silver MUSE Award for High Arctic

London-based design studio United Visual Artists have won a Silver MUSE Award for their 2011 installation High Arctic, in the category ‘Interpretive Interactive Installations’.

UVA use disguise (formerly d3 Technologies) for many of their technologically complex and cutting edge design works.

‘High Arctic’, a monument for an Arctic past which was exhibited until January 2012 in the new Sammy Ofer Wing at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London, invited visitors to go on an Arctic journey themselves, using UV torches to trigger interactive projections.

The MUSE Awards, organised by the American Association of Museums, aim to identify, access, and advocate a broad variety of uses for media and technology that help museum professionals meet the needs of their diverse publics.
