disguise EMEA Open House Series

disguise EMEA Open House Series

It’s been a very busy 2016 for our EMEA team, who partnered with their creative, studio, rental and reseller network around Europe to host a series of Open Days. This was a great opportunity to meet with those already using or interested in seeing the creative potential of disguise.

The first Open House of the year kicked off in February, with FACE, our primary distributor in Benelux. The event provided an opportunity, for all those attending, to have a hands-on experience of the “disguise workflow”. In partnership with FACE, EMEA Regional Sales Manager and Technical Sales Manager, Sarah Cox and Peter Kirkup, guided visitors through the entire process of programming a show, in addition to showing an interactive “live” mapping demonstration.

The team then joined Spanish based studio, The Nation WOW, in Madrid, followed by studio, Stello Productions, in Paris. The in-depth demos at both events showed the capability of disguise to design, present, communicate, sequence and playback a show. A demonstration of Quick Calibration on an Audi Car Model was presented, in addition to an overview of the 4×4pro and industry first Video Format Conversion cards.

In June, the first Interactive Open Day, at our London HQ, was held. The focus was on the integration of ‘interactive’ hardware processes. Whether that be BlackTrax tracking system, Notch real-time workflow, Art-Net, MIDI, OSC or screen automation systems, a range of demonstrations showed how disguise comfortably sits at the heart of any interactive production or installation. This focus was then taken to Frankfurt with rental partner Bright, followed by Berlin with Pixway and lastly to Barcelona with The Nation WOW.

The final Open House of 2016 ended in Milan, with our newest Italian based creative partner, M2L designer and new Italian Rental Partners STS communications and OnAir.

“The passion for wanting to achieve the very best in creative results, has left us very excited about future projects using disguise in the EMEA region” says Sarah Cox. “We’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone who came out to meet us across EMEA and a special big thanks to all our hosts across the community! We will be back in 2017 with new interaction and workflow ideas.”

Next year, our EMEA team will be kicking off their Open Day series in Stockholm, Sweden, at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. The event will take place on the 16th and 17th of January.
