disguise reflect on a year of change

It's been a significant year of change and expansion.

We recently announced our new name at LDI, expanded our regional teams, and plan for further expansion with a collaborative work space opening in LA next year.

Starting the year revealing our new branding at Prolight and Sound, followed by a new website launch at InfoComm Orlando and ending with a name change at LDI, 2017 has been a momentous year of key change and growth for us. The new look and feel has been inspired by our ambition to reflect the needs of a rapidly expanding international community.

Working with over a hundred global Sales, Rental, and Studio partners and more recently, Certified Solution Providers, we currently have offices in London, New York and Hong Kong and are planning to open a collaborative space in LA to bring our West Coast users together. In 2017, our international community used disguise as a key solution, for both the creative and technical workflow on some of the world’s largest and most complex of projects, including the Lady Gaga world tour, Vivid Sydney, the Brit awards and Royal Shakespeare Company’s innovative production of The Tempest.

This year also saw us release the powerful gx series, which was awarded the PLSN Gold Star award for Best New Media Server and the Live Design Best Debuting Product Projection award. The gx range, designed to help creatives and technologists push the boundaries of live show design, offers Gold support and a 2-year Notch playback license for seamless integration.

At this year’s LDI, the gx range powered the content for our experiential Future of Projection demo, which gave a sneak preview into our future developments. Collaboration with partners was key to the success of the demo and has played an important part of 2017 for the team. “We’ve been fortunate to partner with some of the most talented in the industry,” says our CEO Fernando Kufer. “We’d like to say a special thanks to TEM, Satis&fy, Notch, Bild, Possible, Barco, DWP, VT Pro, Bluman Associates and Stout who have helped make our trade shows happen.”

“It’s been an exciting year for the team and our community” adds Fernando, “We’ve evolved our brand to better reflect how we tell our community’s story and taken important steps forward to build technology that listens to where the industry is heading and overcomes the challenges our users face. LDI gave a nod to some of what’s to come next year and we can’t wait to continue working with our amazing disguise network in 2018.”

We'll next be exhibiting at Integrated Systems Europe 2018, if you're at the event, come and say hello to the team.
