disguise's latest rental partner, CPL, bring Camper Calling festival to life

disguise is pleased to announce that Central Presentations Ltd (CPL) have joined as their latest rental partner in the EMEA region.

The company, who started 20 years ago, have become one of the UK’s leading providers of technical solutions, production equipment and specialist project management services. Based in Warwickshire, CPL work across a range of live shows, events and presentations, all spanning multiple sectors – corporate, commercial, leisure and entertainment.

The team recently completed a project for brand new music festival – Camper Calling, located in the picturesque environment of Ragley Hall, Warwickshire.

The three day, family oriented festival, staged by Jazz Events, part of the Jazz Publishing group, featured a fantastic lineup of music, which included, 80s synth-pop legends ABC, indie band Magic Numbers and chart toppers Toploader.

CPL’s immediate client was sound specialist Urban Audio Productions, who were contracted to provide all technical production elements. CPL were given the technical and creative responsibility of supplying LED screens and live video for the event, which featured seven bands a night on Friday and Sunday, peaking at ten on the Saturday. Having made substantial investments in LED screen over the summer, Project Manager, Lee Gruszeckyj, specified 50 panels of CPL’S new Roe 3.4mm product which was flown off a mid-stage truss configured as a main screen surface flanked by two columns.

Visuals for the event were run via CPL’s new 4×4pro, with all content including re-edited and unique ‘live’ cuts of materials – submitted in advance by artists – being created beforehand by CPL and uploaded to the server on the day.

"Having the disguise production tool kit onsite was fantastic, the kit ran flawlessly and even if artists could only provide a logo as visual material, we were able to bring some great treatments, effect and mashups that brought something fresh and invigorating for all the bands and their audiences.”
Lee Gruszeckyj, Project Manager

The event, which took place over the August Bank holiday weekend, proved to be a huge success. Gruszeckyj adds, “It was exciting to work on a new festival concept and great to see proper investment in how the production looked, that paid off for everyone involved: audiences, performers and the organisers. There was a fantastic vibe on site all weekend and we are particularly delighted to have been booked for the next three years!”
