Disguise celebrates the reopening of the famous Bolshoi Ballet with a high-profile projection mapping event.

After an extensive 6 year refurbishment, the legendary Bolshoi Ballet was reopened on October 28th 2011 with a festive projection mapping event.

Designer project for Bolshoi Ballet

Using 8 double-stacked projectors from Big Screen Show and content created especially by designer Andrei Boltenko, disguise used its new Release 10 feature, ‘Projector Simulation’, to pre-visualise and output high resolution video content, while also outputting uncompressed 16-bit audio directly from the Disguise timeline.

The show was set up entirely in the Disguise studio in London and was operated and installed onsite by Disguise operator Icarus Wilson-Wright. The crowd stood and watched the famous columned facade change in a display of dancers and colourful abstract sequences.
