Singapore’s National Day Parade brought five moving cubes to life with Hexogon and Disguise

Singapore National Stadium project 3

For Singapore’s National Day Parade 2026, Hexogon Group delivered the digital projection elements for five suspended moving cubes at the Singapore National Stadium. Using Disguise EX 3+ media servers and BlackTrax integrated into the tracking system, the team kept projected visuals aligned with the cubes as they moved.

Held at Singapore’s National Stadium under the theme “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”, the 2026 National Day Parade marked the nation’s 61st year of independence.

The challenge

A key feature of this year’s projection was five suspended cubes, each measuring 5m x 5m x 5m, which moved vertically during the show. The projected visuals needed to stay aligned with the moving structures, while a large central cuboid was also hoisted midair in the semi-enclosed stadium.

Wind circulation within the stadium could affect the position of the large cuboid, making tracking essential to maintaining projection alignment as the structures moved.

The team also faced a tight delivery window, completing the full projection work within two weeks while coordinating with other parties involved in the production and set build.

The solution

To deliver the projection, Hexogon used 10 sets of Disguise EX 3+ media servers with full redundancy, alongside eight Disguise OmniCal cameras for calibration. BlackTrax was integrated with Disguise to provide tracking across the projection system.

The setup mapped visuals onto the large central cuboid and five dynamic moving cubes, with the tracking system keeping the projected content aligned as the five smaller cubes moved vertically during the show.

Up to 52 Christie Griffyn 4K50 pure RGB Laser projectors were positioned 360 degrees around the stadium, with up to 40 cameras used for tracking.

The results

The projection elements successfully came together with the performances and staging at the National Stadium, with visuals remaining precisely aligned to the moving cubes throughout the show.

The project also marked Hexogon’s first use of Disguise and BlackTrax together for a large-scale tracked projection, building on the company’s previous work delivering large-scale projections with real-time tracking capabilities.

“Hexogon has completed many large-scale projections with real-time tracking capabilities. This is the first time we are using Disguise + Blacktrax, and we are very happy with the results" said Adrian G.S. Goh, CEO at Hexogon Group.
