With a rich program featuring music, dance, and stage performances, Paribu Art—Istanbul’s newest and most innovative multi-voice stage—celebrated its opening by bringing together artists and creatives from diverse disciplines for the first time. The new immersive venue is powered by Disguise hardware and software, with perfectly mapped visuals helping the arts centre to tell their story.
Spanning approximately 1,250 square meters and boasting a staggering 140 million pixels, the world’s highest-resolution fixed-installation outdoor LED screen burst into life with artist performances. Art transcended the confines of galleries, transforming into an immersive experience where light, sound, and time flowed with a radically different rhythm.
Leveraging Disguise’s industry-leading hardware and Designer software, the event achieved a fully synchronised integration between the digital surfaces and live performances, with immersive content unifying the two environments. Disguise’s technical services team supported the venue’s launch end-to-end, in collaboration with Paribu and the Paribu Art technology and production team, providing setup oversight, workflow design, show-control guidance, and a content-scheduling framework to ensure seamless playback.
"Disguise is proud to have powered and supported Paribu’s grand opening in Istanbul with stunning, pixel-perfect visuals across a 32K digital surface, ” reveals Disguise CEO, Fernando Küfer. “The grand opening is just a preview of what the centre's new state-of-the-art system can achieve, and we can’t wait to see the creative content and immersive experiences that will continue to light up Istanbul in the future.”
Far more than a screen, the LED installation represents a new space for creation and expression. As a reflection of Paribu Art’s aim to merge the new with the traditional and technology with art, the digital façade will become an indispensable part of Paribu Art’s stage, enabling diverse programs and content to reach wider audiences.
"We celebrated the burgeoning power of Turkish arts and culture and the start of its journey to represent the country on the international stage" commented Paribu Founder and CEO, Yasin Oral. “Tonight, we didn’t simply celebrate the opening of a venue—we celebrated Turkey’s new artistic voice and its journey toward international representation. As Paribu, our goal is to cultivate more cross-disciplinary creators and producers. This vision guided us while designing Paribu Art: to provide space for cultural actors who will move society forward, to nurture new talents, and to unite different disciplines under one roof within a supportive and collaborative environment."
Sharing her reflections on the opening, Paribu Art Director, Özge Bakırçalı commented:
“With the opening of Paribu Art, I believe that we have initiated a new narrative that brings art beyond the confines of a venue and connects it with the city and its communities. The experience we created tonight marks the first step toward the multidisciplinary production culture we aim to foster in the future.
While designing Paribu Art, our intention was not merely to build an event space, but to establish a sustainable ecosystem where artists, creative producers, and communities can come together, explore new forms of expression, and collaborate. In the period ahead, through both our digital and physical programs, we will continue expanding our creative scope—from performance arts to new media works, from inclusive content for children to international collaborations.
This opening night was a powerful beginning—one that made Paribu Art’s vision tangible and highlighted the long-term journey it will serve.”
